It's a beautiful day outside.  The perfect weather to wear a cardigan and slippers.  Yes, slippers -- It's my staple footwear -- I pretty much wear slippers until the forecast announces the first snow fall.  But as much as I want to step out of the house, midterms are at hand and sadly, I have a date with Stamler and Yu (authors of my community health nursing textbook).  This exam is stressing me out.  Just last week, I was informed that over 40  out of 100 students failed this midterm -- out of those 40+ students, around 40 failed the class (sigh).

Yesterday,  my sister and I went to the local pharmacy and purchased exam essentials... cookies.. juice.... power drinks ...  I'm sad to report that half of the cookies have been eaten.. the juice box is now in the recycling bin and the power drinks left me snoring through the night.

It's 12:30 pm. I just stepped on the scale -  but before stepping on the scale, I gave myself a prep-talk - "so you gained 5-10 pounds.. that's okay... life is stressful... just step on the scale" --- so I stepped on the sclae, thrice ... the result = 203 pounds..... (jump for joy... ramp walk...) --- So this is why I'm writing this entry today... my spirits have been picked up! I feel less stress (though I'm sure as soon as I open my book again... the stress and axiety will  jolt right back) -- I feel great!  The last time I stepped on the scale was on August 26th "when I weighed" 215 pounds.  My goal is to be out of the 200s come my birthday in late November ---- I'm ecstatic that I'm so much closer to my goal.

Discipline - I have none!  Since school started, I haven't exercised (though I told myself before the semester started that I will take advantage of my tuition and use the school facilities --- I haven't stepped in the gym)  Moreover, my wonderful peers who I am grouped with for class projects like me, love to eat.  So every week, we end up eating at a buffet after class (that's atleast 2 times a week).  I have no Discipline!

So today I will need to set new goals.....

I was studying for microbiology while taking a stroll with my family last week.
